Saudi education

"A photo of a Shiite cleric placed unintentionally on the cover of one of the religious books which is taught in Saudi international schools raised outrage among “Salafis”. After discovering the figure’s identity, ultra conservative launched on September 5, through Twitter and other social networking a huge anti Shiite campaign demanding the Ministry of Education to withdraw the book. Sheikh Mohammed al-Barak, a faculty member at Umm al-Qura University in Mecca tweeted that “withdrawing the book is not enough and we should purge Shiites from the entire educational institutions”."
