More offensive than her words is the description of her as "public intellectual"

"public intellectual and author Ayan Hirsi Ali".  I hate to bother you but when did she publicly intellectualize, if you don't mind me asking? Did I miss that?  Unless the dubious honor of the title is derived from public bigotry directed at Muslims.
