I know that the US media parrot the line of the Saudi media on Syria but someone should ask for evidence of such claims/lies: "the government of President Bashar al-Assad and his Iranian backers sought to portray the movement as a sectarian power grab by certain Sunni extremists".  Look, the Syrian regime is lousy and repressive but it never ever uses the words Sunni or Shi`ite, ever.  Do you understand?  I know that you want to create a fake balance because the Saudi and Qatari media engage in such sectarian talk regularly.
