How the US picked Nuri Al-Maliki

This is a very long article by a former official of the Bush government: the man clearly has no background in diplomacy or Middle East studies but was picked to serve as an adviser on Iraq due to his loyalty to the Bush administration in Texas. But several points: 1) he implies that the cleric of US occupation, Sistani, used to meet with US officials contrary to his claims (although he did not name Sistani); 2) this guy feels the need like all token Arabs in the Bush government to appear more imperialist in tone than others; 3) the way the US ran the entire show in Iraq when the country was a "sovereign nation" in name and with the bogus affirmation of the UN; 4) those lousy people ruling Iraq were handpicked by the US government.
