how hostility to Islam is treated in the West, versus how hostility to Judaism is treated

Look at this sentence by liberal columnist, Maureen Dowd: "The disinvitation list has been burgeoning. Brandeis canceled human rights activist Ayaan Hirsi Ali, saying she’d made remarks critical of Islam."  Critical of Islam? She called Islam "the new fascism" and "destructive" and a "cult of death" among other insults about the whole religion and all of Muslims.  This is hardly "critical remarks" of Islam.  If somebody were to direct such insults against Judaism, would US newspapers refer to anti-Semites as "those who made remarks critical of Judaism"?
