"atmosphere of violence" in a demonstration

No matter how absurd and no matter how insane the rhetoric of Israeli military propagandists, they get printed without qualifications or disclaimers in US media:  "Lt. Col. Peter Lerner, a spokesman for the Israel Defense Forces, said Tuesday that investigations by the military and the police were continuing, and that “the preliminary inquiry up until this moment still does not indicate any use of live fire by the forces.” Colonel Lerner said that the few minutes of edited video footage did not capture the “atmosphere of violence” during the demonstration".  And do you notice that Israeli investigations of its own massacres and murders are always "continuing"? Do they ever get to be completed?
