interest in Zionist affairs. He said: ‘You stood at the cradle of this
enterprise; I hope that you will see it through.’ Mr Churchill asked what Dr
Weizmann meant ‘by seeing it through’. Dr Weizmann replied that after the war
the Zionists would wish to have a State of some three or four million Jews in
Palestine. Mr Churchill said: Yes, indeed, I quite agree with that. "
