US newspapers now report the views and opinion of an Israeli spy

"In an op-ed article in August in the Jerusalem Post, Pollard said the release of “dangerous, unrepentant murderers and terrorists” would dishonor Israel’s dead, “betray its bereaved, and disgrace its citizens for the sake of political expediency.”"  I wonder if he was a spy for an Arab country whether his views on Arab-Israeli issues be cited by US media.  I wonder if any American would dare call for his release.
