Syrian regime and sympathetic media

Lately the lousy Syrian regime has been cracking down on media that are sympathetic to its point of view. Even Al-Mayadin, which is rather close to the regime, has been fighting with the government over restrictions that were lately imposed.  Al-Manar (Hizbullah TV) made similar complaints to the regime.  This is a regime that can fight for its survival and yet find the time to arrest leftist activists and to crack down on the media, sympathetic and hostile alike.
