More from AUB: DeBin COO of AUB Fired

Today, Mr. Debin was fired to clam down the storm on campus.  Of course, the president did not present it as firing. He wrote in an email to faculty and staff:  "In early December 2013, Chief Operating Officer George DeBin informed me that, due to his wife’s serious medical condition, it would be necessary for them to relocate to the United States in April 2014. "  Just like that.
