The gains of US occupation forces in Iraq

"the Iraqi security forces have struggled to sustain the gains made by U.S. troops before they withdrew in December 2011."  Among the US gains was the proliferation of Bin Ladenite groups throughout the Middle East. May the Middle East region be spared the gains of US occupation forces.
