So in Syria: the US is aligned with moderate armed groups and recently with "ostensibly moderate" armed groups

"The Mujahedin Army, a new coalition of ostensibly moderate Islamist groups, as well as factions affiliated with the Western-backed Free Syrian Army  and the Islamic Front, consolidated their gains against the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria, or ISIS, in what activists hailed as a "second revolution."  I told you. It is a matter of time before US media and government start referring to Ayman Dhawahiri as "the moderate successor of Usamah bin Laden". (thanks Basim)
