The spokesperson of the Fee Syrian Army, Lu'ayy Miqdad, questioned the representativeness of the Syrian National Coalition, so its leader, Ahmad Al-Jarba, beat him up. The Coalition was founded on a set of principles that include a categorical rejection of any dialogue or negotiation with the regime. But the coalition received a Saudi-US order to participate in Geneva, so the leadership of the coalition said that we will attend and we can simply amend the founding principles. Now the Coalition is supposed to reach decision with the full membership in attendance but a whole one third of members boycotted the meeting in Turkey. So the leadership said: well, we can meet with whomever is present. Thirdly, the internal rules of the coalition state that decisions have to be reached by two-third majority votes. Well, that was not possible in Turkey, so the leadership said: 50% plus one is enough, and that was arranged. Welcome to the new Syria of the future.
