an Israeli token gay memorial tucked in a park

"The landmark, tucked in a Tel Aviv park".    Yet, with this small token (much belated) gesture,  the US press declares that "one of the world’s most progressive countries for gay rights."  Most progressive? Are you kidding me? Outside of a section of Tel Aviv, it is one of the most reactionary.  I will tell you this, when was the last time a Muslim country had riots against gays, as happened in Israel?
