Covering Syria
There is a clear pattern of Western media coverage of Syria: any news that is not favorable to the propaganda interest of the Syrian rebels is basically ommitted from coverage. Notice how Syrian conflict has been barely coveraged as of late except regariding the refugees. Those items are not part of the coverage. 1) New York Times used to write blasting headline if a minor clerk in a ministry in Syria defected. Yet, the stories of advanced by Syrian regime troops are not covered as of late and not even the opening of he Homs-Damascus highway. 2) more stories of puriticannical order imposed by rebels. 3) the kidnapping of the nuns was not a big story at all. 4) regular clashes between the Syrian rebel gangs are left unreported. 5) A major defection from the military command of your man, Gen. Doctor Engineer Salim Idriss is not a big story. 6) the Saudi-Qatari split over Syria.
