Tarif Khalidi

So in 1974, Tarif Khalidi wrote (apparently) a delicious scathing review of Adonis Ath-Thabit wa-l-Mutahawwil.  I have not read the review yet (and if you are reading this, dear comrade Tarif, I would love a copy), but read the response that Adonis wrote to the paper.  And then Tarif wrote a response to the response and it was one of the best damning and devastating responses that I have seen.  Delicious.
