Rania Abouzeid

I don't know the politics of Rania Abouzeid, and I never asked her about her views although I assume that she (like all the Western reporters covering Syria) is rather sympathetic to the rebels.  But I can say this about her writings on Syria: unlike the overwhelming majority of Western correspondents in the region who cover Syria, she really let the facts guide her reporting.  For most other reporters, they let their biases guide their reporting.
