Obama asks the head of a foreign government to lobby the members of the US Congress--quite amazing

"The push by the group, known as Aipac, which included asking its supporters to call members of Congress, came as Israeli newspapers reported Monday that President Obama urged Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to get personally involved in lobbying Congress. The reports said that Mr. Netanyahu had called several members himself."  This is an amazing paragraph and seems to vindicate the work of Mearsheimer and Walt.  1) This confirms my contention that AIPAC is not eager for this war, for its own reasons that I wrote about in my blog post in Al-Akhbar English. 2) It shows the influence of a foreign leader of members of the US Congress. 3) It reminds me of that famous scene between Ronald Reagan and Menachem Begin when they were discussing a matter before Congress and Begin stunned Reagan by telling him: don't worry about the Congress. I will take care of it.
