Not a story in the Western media: Jihadi takeover of the Christian village of Ma`lula outside of Damascus

This beautiful village, which houses churches and monasteries from the first century, is one of the most ancient villages in our region.  Western churches are familiar with it, as are departments of ancient studies of the Middle East.  Students of Aramaic have been used to spending time there to learn the proper pronunciation of Aramaic, which is still spoken there (one of only two or three in the world).  Yesterday, a suicide bomber penetrated through a Syrian army checkpoint and declared the takeover of what he called a "crusading center".   This narrative however does not coincide with the silly and dishonest narrative of John Kerry.
