Anne Barnard's standards of journalism

If a newspaper "leans" to the Syrian regime, Ms. Barnard tells you that, but if a newspaper is actually owned by the Sons of Zayid in UAE, she says this: "The National, a newspaper based in Abu Dhabi".  So does the National "lean" to the UAE royal family, Ms. Barnard?  It is in English so you should be able to judge.
