How do Syrian rebels handle journalists

"But like so much in Syria, where the government bars most reporters from working and the opposition heavily filters the information it lets out, the truth remains elusive."  Filters the information?  Do you mean by filter that they kill the journalists that they don't like and they issue death warrants against any writer who criticize them?  Is that what you mean?
