The special section in the Economist on the "Arab Spring"

So I am reading this special section of the Economist on the Arab Spring and I must say I am woefully disappointed as it is basically an anthology of redundant Western media cliches about the Middle East and its politics; not once did the author or authors of the article deviate from the line of thinking that you read in columns by Thomas Friedman and his ilk.   How seriously can you take someone who actually takes seriously the line parroted by Hariri family propagandists to the effect that Rafiq Hariri's death inspired Arab uprisings.   More on specifics tomorrow when the sun rises.
