Superman

I saw the film "Man of Steel" yesterday. Trashy propaganda and for the first time you see a marriage between the work of Superman and the work of US armed forces.  But I don't remember in my exhaustive childhood reading of Superman that he ever caused "collateral damage".  If you think I am reading too much into a movie remember the Orwellian meeting between Carl Rove and Hollywood executives in the wake of Sep. 11 when he asked them to inject more patriotic themes into movies.  And my nephew  Ihsan wondered to me as why Sperman agreed to live in Kansas when he could have chosen any other place on earth. I mean, have you been in Kansas?
