Stories of succession in Qatar

There has been many stories of succession in Qatar: this one in Le Point is an example.  The Telegraph has a story too.  I remain suspicious.  The Emir is too immersed in power to abdicate.  It is not like him.  There are also factions within the royal family and divisions could deepen if Tamim takes over now.  It is possible that the story is the work of Saudi intelligence.  Saudi and Qatari press are now back at the Saudi-Qatari feud despite the announced alliance.  The Syrian conflict was the place where Saudi and Qatari ruling dynasties came together and it has become the place where they are pulling apart.
