Americans will not get to read Samir Quntar's detailed account of his life in Qissati. They will only get to know about him from the lies and fabrications of Israeli propaganda. The book won't get to be translated into English: just as the Zionist hoodlums in the US prevented the publication of Abu Dawud's memoirs here in the US. Just imagine: the Zionist book burners get to decide what Americans should or should not read about the Arab-Israeli conflict. This is quite unique in a history of a country that falsely prides itself on its freedom of expression. The first 100 pages of Quntar's book should be a required reading: they show the extent of Israeli brutality and savagery in torture. For those who in the US in academic panels argue whether there is torture in Israel, I only have contempt for them. I have met victims of Israeli torture (including young boys in South Lebanon) and don't need to read books and reports about Israeli torture and its techniques. There has been countless cases of Arabs dying under torture in Israeli jails, or even before they get to jail. This is not something that one needs to document. Of course, as Quntar shows in the book, the International Committee of the Red Cross has been a witness to such torture over the years but they have kept quiet out of deference to the US benefactors. Quntar tells the story of how ICRC used to cry when they would see the torture scars and wounds on his body (he went down to 45 kgs after his capture). But most importantly: there is the story of the little girl that Quntar was accused of killing. Quntar did not do such a thing and did not even see the girl. The girl was killed by her mother when she put her hand on her mouth to silence her. Quntar was nowhere near the place, as he recounts the details. Having met Samir and had dinner with him once, I believe him without hesitation and am fully aware of the lies of the Israeli state especially for their higher cause of propaganda. In fact, Samir talks from early on how the Zionist worked to fabricate the story of his killing of the girl before the trial and how he was severely tortured because he refused to sign on a false confession. Yes, one of his comrade in the operation signed a confession that said that the girl was killed by Samir but he told the court in the first opportunity that it was all false and that her was mercilessly tortured to sign the lie. But the American public is destined to only believe what the Israeli terrorist state want them to believe, just as they lied about how the athletes in Munich were killed. Anybody who reads Zionist history knows that the Israeli state always was quick to resort to casual lying--on small and big things--for propaganda purposes. This is why I adhere to the old Babylonian Talmudic saying that applies to Israel: the punishment of the liar is that he is not believed even when he tells the truth--assuming Israel ever tells the truth about anything.
