It is official: Anne Barnard confirms and cirtifies. Armed groups in Syria are all secular. A volunteer told her.

" But another volunteer detained that day, Reem, a Christian wearing a two-inch cross, said that she had never felt threatened in rebel areas.  “There is nothing to fear,” she said. “It’s not one sect against another. It’s the opposition against the government.”. Based on this assurance, minorities all over Syria--even those who are still held hostage by armed groups--took to the streets in celebration.
