It is customary in Arab media to recruit "enlightenment" and "secular" thinkers and writers to attack leftists and Nasserits (as if the specter of either is haunting the Arab world) in Saudi media. This is the post-modernist writer, `Ali Harb, who has just returned from Janadiriyyah conference in Saudi Arabia where he spoke about, you guessed it, enlightenment, bashing Arab leftists in Gulf media.
