a chant in Syria: "Oh, what shame. Oh, what shame. Thieves have become revolutionaries"

There is an article in the "revolutionary"--revolutionary in the same way the word "revolution" is applied to the armed groups in Syria--mouthpiece of Prince Salman, Ash-Sharq Al-Awsat about the phenomenon of theft and looting and thuggery by Syrian "revolutionary" groups.  It mentions the slogan chanted:  "Oh, what shame. Oh, what shame.  Shabbihah have become revolutionaries.  Oh, what shame. Oh, what shame.  Thieves have become revolutionaries." (They rhyme in Arabic, of course).

يا للعار، يا للعار، الشبيحة صاروا ثوار.. يا للعار، يا للعار، الحرامية صاروا ثوار)
