neutrality through bombing

"Although Israel has sought to remain neutral in Syria’s civil war, it is believed to have bombed targets in Syria three times..." Does Ms. Barnard even notice how ridiculous she sounds sometimes? Imagine if she were to say that Switzerland has maintained its neutrality through a few bombing raids.  In Arabic we have a saying to the effect that a poet can get away with more (or what you call in English poetic license) and we should add a special propagandist license for Ms. Barnard.
