"Mr. Assad’s regime has killed over 80,000 of its own people". A variety of this statement (with different degrees of the dead depending on the mood of the writer) now appears widely in Western media. So it means that Syrian armed groups have managed to fight and to shell and to use car bombs and to lob missiles without ever killing one person. Amazing, if you ask me.
