American academics and Syria.

I was thinking: that it is far safer for academics (liberals and conservative alike) in the US to call for the supply of arms to Syrian rebels than to support the peaceful movement of BDS.  The former stance is consistent with the agenda of the Israeli lobby.  This why I only regard as sincere the stance of academics who support Syrin rebels and who also are publicly supportive of BDS.
