Tamerlane

One of the symptoms of bigotry is the notion that all members of the religion are united and are one and the same. Anti-Semites assumed that about Jews just as the professional anti-Muslim haters assume that about Muslims.  Take the name of Tamerlane: many experts in the media were pontificating about the significance of Tamerlane in Islamic history. I heard many talk about how Muslims regarding him as a hero. Anti-Muslim haters often are unaware of divisions among Muslims and are ignorant of the nationalist tensions in the body of Islam, so to say.  Tamerlane may be regarded as a folk hero in Central Asia but he is regarded as a butcher by Muslim Arabs.
