On Shi`ite Lebanon: Rabab versus Rababah

Regarding the informed book by Roschanack Shaery-Eisenlohr, Shi`ite Lebanon published by Columbia University Press, there was a need for a comprehensive edit for mistakes in names (I mean to refer to Jeffrey Feltman as David Feltman is but one example (p. 210).  The author, typical of European scholars of the Middle East, is diligent and rigorous.  But several elements are missing: she greatly underestimates the role of Hasan Nasrallah, not only within Hizbullah, and not only regarding Iranian-Lebanese Shi`ite relations, but even as far as the Iranian foreign policies in the Arab East are concerned.  But this note is about something else: she misstates the name of Musa As-Sadr's sister, Rabab (she calls her Rababa (xviii).  Rababah is either a musical instrument or a bag of arrows.  Rabab is a vow or contract.  So her name is Rabab.  I should go back to this book soon.

PS Comrade Laleh informs me that she is Iranian.
