"The Lower House on Monday issued a statement commending the roles of Saudi Arabia and Qatar in supporting the country, following last week's criticism by a number of MPs when the government's policies on the Syrian two-year crisis was debated on the House floor.  Certain deputies blamed the Saudis and the Qataris for not sufficiently supporting Jordan, leaving it stranded in the face of the rising number of Syrian refugees entering the Kingdom and the ensuing economic burdens.  The statement included apologetic language towards the Saudi and Qatari governments, stating that Jordan values the support of the “brethren” Arab Gulf states."
