A record of stupid reporting on Syria: the case of Olga Khazan

So according to her, the hundreds of thousands of soldiers who have been fighting and dying for the Asad regime all hate Asad.  What is her evidence?  Here it is:  "In an interview with a 20-year-old man who defected from the Syrian Army and joined the rebels earlier this week, the Syria Deeply news service reveals the dissonance that many of Assad’s troops have experienced throughout the conflict. The soldier, who asked not to be named, said he and other troops were assigned minders from the shabiha, a loyalist government militia, to ensure they don’t defect. He continued:"  So those who defect, hate the regime, and those who fight and die for the regime hate the regime but are forced to stay and fight and die by Shabbihah.  How dumb do you have to be to believe this really?
