On the US secret agreement with the Syrian exile opposition

Akram sent me this:  "I'm almost sure that the news about a secret agreement between the United-States and the Syrian opposition in exile is fake, but not entirely baseless. I refer the readers to this important piece (Arabic). I actually heard the story of the Qatari gas pipeline few months ago and I can confidently tell that a great part of the Syrian crisis is about the competition between US (through its Qatari client) and Russia on who supply Europe with gas."

PS I stand by my earlier verdict.  The so-called document reeks of forgery.  It has the footprints of the Syrian regime intelligence work, in my opinion and is clumsily done.
