New York Times calculations

"The Hamas Health Ministry in Gaza said the Palestinian death toll after a week of fighting stood at 140 at noon. At least a third of those killed are believed to have been militants. On the Israeli side, five Israelis have been killed, including one soldier."  You know how the New York Times and its sponsors in the Israeli military decide that a third of those killed were "militants"?  They count any man over the age of 15 as militant.  For them, only Palestinian babies and women are civilians.  On the Israeli side: five were killed, two were military men and three were "civilians"--if you count armed Israeli settlers as civilians.
