Ethan Bronner finds aggression in Arab songs

First is there something bizarre about Ethan Bronner--who does not know Arabic--commenting on the quality of Arabic songs?  "Pop songs everywhere are filled with bravado and aggression."  Are US rap songs filled with bravado and aggression, by the way?  And what does that mean?  And which is more aggressive? Palestinian songs or Israeli fighter jets bombing civilians?
