Democratic support for Israel in the US

"Although 57% of Americans agree that Israel’s military response in Gaza against Hamas rocket attacks is justified, only 40% of Democrats who were surveyed sided with Israel. A whopping majority of Republicans backed Israel at 74%, while 59% of independents also supported Israel." (thanks Michele)
