As far as media coverage of the war on Gaza is concerned, it is fair to say that the new Arabic news channel, Al-Mayadin, is the biggest beneficiary. It basically followed the formula of AlJazeera in yesteryears. While it does not have the resources of Aljazeera, it basically decided to provide continuous and unambiguous coverage that does not equivocate in supporting the resistance to Israel. While we don't have numbers to prove it, it may have succeeded. Aljazeera is covering Gaza but you get the feeling that they are under obligation to switch to Syria any second. As for Al-Arabiyya (the news station of King Fahd's brother-in-law), it is really treated like a joke in Arab social media, more like a National Inquirer of the news stations.
