"The Jordanian tribe of al-Obeidat organizes this weekend a mass festival to support Palestinian people and al-Aqsa Mosque, with the participation of hundreds of political and national figures, in the largest village of the tribe in the north of the Jordanian kingdom.   Al-Obeidat tribe, which is the biggest and most influential tribe in northern Jordan with huge influence on the political balance, will hold the popular and political event in its districts in support of al-Aqsa Mosque.  The purpose behind this event is to show the support of the Jordanian people and the northern tribes for the Palestinian people and the Arab identity of al-Aqsa Mosque against the Israeli schemes.   This event will be take place in the village of Kafr Som, which is the largest of the seven villages of al-Obeidat tribe in northern the kingdom.   Among the prominent figures who will deliver speeches in this mass meeting, are the opposition figure Leith Shbilat and member of the Jordanian parliament Khalil Atteya, in addition to the former Prime Minister and head of the National Front for Reform, Ahmad Obeidat.   Sources close to Obeidat told "Al Quds Al Arabi" newspaper that the aim of the march is to emphasize on the stance of the tribe which opposes normalizing relations, in any form, with the Israelis.  This event appeared to come in response to the decision of the Jordanian government insisting on the appointment of the young diplomat, Walid Obeidat, as an ambassador to "Tel Aviv"."
