Israel and the Syrian regime

Yesterday, Fox News casually reported that its sources confirmed that Israel has not asked the US government to provide weapons to the Syrian armed rebels.  That confirms my theory about the indulgent attitude of Israel towards the Syrian regime which has done a great job of protecting the Israeli border since 1973--if not earlier.
