Forgeries on Syria and forgeries by Syria (or by Syrian regime, more precisely)

The letter that is being posted on Syrian regime websites and is ostensibly from Muhammad Mursi to Shimon Peres is a clear forgery.  Although it is written in beautiful Arabic calligraphy it does not make sense and has no letterhead.  And Mursi in it, refers to Peres as "my dear friend".  Why are the forgeries these days so dumb?
