Akram refutes the Al-Arabiyya forgeries

Angry Arab's correspondent in Syria responds to Al-Arabiyya's forgeries:

"The guys in Alarabyia, the Saudi news TV station, just don’t want it to let it go, even when the world of journalism was too indulgent with their cheep journalistic practices and their fabrications that, in the case of their Syrialeaks, were too dumb that even the bitterest enemies of the Syrian regime, found themselves obliged to deny in short and embarrassed statements (in the case of Turkey) or a single rebuking piece (in the case of Qatar) before ignoring the whole story.

However, Al-arabyia refuses to give up although it removed the whole section dedicated to the alleged leaked documents from its Arabic website without saying a single word, as it always does when something stupid is committed by their self -described journalists (someone must find a term more convenient to describe them). The day before yesterday, Faisal Abbas, the editor in chief of Al-arabyia English, issued “an apology on behalf of” its channel. Once more, the article is another fabrication by Al-arabyia. It wasn’t an apology to the public:

The whole reason for this long introduction is to apologize to some of our critics for a major disappointment which I am about to bestow about them.
To all those professional journalists who forgot or didn't bother calling us for a comment or those café-based bloggers who think they can do a better job, I truly am very sorry for what I am about to say.

So it wasn’t a truly apology to those who waste their time watching or reading Al-arabyia garbage, but rather an apology to those who think Al-arabyia has “an agenda” and “secret labs”… and this is it, the word apology doesn’t appear anywhere else in the “apology” piece.

And actually, Mr. Abbass and its Al-arabyia seem to believe their Syrialeaks junk has really a serious content that we missed:

With Al Arabiya News Channel's exclusive coverage on the newly-leaked Syrian security documents coming to an end, the time has finally arrived to voice an opinion about some of the things that have been said since we began revealing the shocking contents of these documents two weeks ago.

He really believes that his Al-arabyia’s rubbish are worthy of being analyzed and commented, blaming the “café- based bloggers” (can we call him and his peers “brothel-based journalists”?) for not doing so.

But the fact is that Syrialeaks documents don’t even deserve to be read let alone analyzed. A Syrian proverb says: the content of a letter can be understood by just reading the title. So one only need to read the headers of the so called “leaked documents” to understand that he is about a fabrication dumbly formulated.
And here is an example (the document in Arabic can be read here):

Syrian Arab Republic
The Republican Palace
External Intelligence Service:
Branch of Operations (235/2)

And here are my comments:
  1. In Syria, there is nothing called “Republican Palace”, but rather “Ministry of State for Presidential Affairs”: the term “Republican Palace” is used by the average Syrians in their daily talks.
  2. In Syria, there is nothing called “External Intelligence Service”
  3. But the most important (and obvious) is that the intelligence services (in Syria and elsewhere) aren’t part of the “Republican Palace” instruments. It’s the same as saying: White House- NYPD!!!
Then take a look at another example which is as dumber as the previous one if not more:

An alleged work order treating an intelligence colonel as if he is a regular army private who is ordered by his sergeant to deliver a message to another sergeant: The so- called “work order” is actually addressed to Colonel Souheil Hassan (a scary and influential officer) of the Special Missions Department of the Syrian Air Force Intelligence instructing him to head towards the intelligence branch 291 using a civilian car (a taxi or any passing-by car for example!!!) in a mission with the codename 247/3 and return back to his unit as soon as he accomplishes the mission…. Really!!!

Amazingly (or maybe not), it wasn’t the stupidity of Al-arabyia who made Mr. Abbass angry, but it was something else: an article written by Assa’ad Abou Khalil in Al-Akhbar English criticizing the journalistic standards of Bandar’s media… I’m sure he thought he found the momentum to fight back not only this particular piece, but rather everything that the Angry Arab and Al-Akhbar represent. This is, however, another story that only Mr. Abou Khalil can estimate whether it deserves a reply.

An apology on behalf of Al arabyia: a long and needless piece that hasn’t contained the true apology that one may wait from someone who really want to apologize... something like:

Dear public… We are really sorry for being too idiot… Al-arabyia will shut down soon… My colleagues and I will quit to a more lucrative and less qualification- demanding career."
