US politics

I hate when US politicians and their wives tell us how much they love their children. As if it is a unique quality they posses.  And why should we care?  And how do we know if it is true? They could be abusers for all we know.   And they sound as if they are patronizingly tell the masses: unlike you, we really love our children.
