How come we did not hear people invoking "freedom of speech" against this attempt to muzzle speech?

"A resolution urging California colleges and universities to squelch nascent anti-Semitism also encouraged educators to crack down on demonstrations against Israel, angering advocates for Muslim students."  (And look at the stupid phrasing: as if only Muslim students insist on freedom of speech).
