David Kirkpatrick: vomiting Orientalist cliches

Of course, who can better explain the Middle East to Americans than Mr. Kirkpatrick, who never studied the Middle East and never learned any of its language and his previous experience was in covering conservatives in the US.  That is what is called qualifications in the US.
