Bashshar: Tyrant, Son of the Tyrant

I have received an avalanche of comments and criticisms from comrades and friends and readers about my article on Bashshar (Tyrant, son of a Tyrant).  Some asked whether I have switched positions.  I hate being defensive but I will just say this: no, I have not switched after reading the Collected Works of Munaf Tlas.  My position remains the same on Syria and on world affairs.  My stance against the US-Israeli-Saudi-Turkish-Qatari-French-UAE-German-UK-Jordanian conspiracy in Syria does not detract from my firm opposition to every--EVERY--Arab regime.  The timing of the article was triggered by my watching Bashshar's interview with Dunya TV: it was so nauseating to watch and the title came to my mind and the rest followed.  It belonged to Al-Akhbar but the paper decided against publishing, and I am not happy about that one bit.  I have opposed the Syrian regime since my teens and see no reason why I should change.  If the regime liberates Palestine--or even the Golan--maybe we can talk. But not before.
