anti-Jewishness on New TV

Shame on New TV.  They yesterday aired a terrible report about "Jewish loan sharks" and started with Jesus at the Temple and ended with the financial crisis on Wall Street implying that there is a sinister Jewish conspiracy.  The report came out of nowhere.  I was particularly disturbed because this station is the most progressive and the most secular of all TV stations in Lebanon and beyond.  The report had no reporter and was read by the announcer.  It was beyond idiotic and bigoted.  Two years ago, New TV had something that dumb.  I was in Lebanon at the time and met with the director-general of the station, Dimitri Khudur, and talked to him about the ugliness of anti-Jewish expression in that report at the time.  He agreed with me that they should not be allowed and agreed that the station should be vigilant against anti-Jewishness especially that it has a secular progressive reputation.  I hope that the station would find the person responsible.  I can't believe that the able editor-in-chief allowed that report to air.  She is too smart for that.
