News by the Syrian regime

From Akram, the Angry Arab correspondent in Syria:

"While the Syrian regime and its armed opposition, work hand by hand to flood the country in a bloody civil war, government activities these days suggest one of two things: either the regime tries to convince his supporters that things are just fine or it, actually, lives in a parallel universe. Here are some examples:

Ali Haider, the jobless minister of the National Reconciliation, continues his silly shows. The latest one took place today when Mr. Haidar met the Hungarian ambassador in Damascus. I briefed the ambassador on the Ministry's tasks as well as on the potential cooperation between the two sides, was it by transferring an objective, and honest picture on events in Syria or by other political and mediatic cooperation aspects, Haidar told the reporters
The General Freedoms and Human Rights Committee of the Syrian Parliament is discussing its draft charter... Seriously... This isn't a joke... Human rights are inherent, not earned, and human cannot live without them as all people are born free, Bade'a Saqqour, Chairman of the Committee told SANA, explaining that the Committee aims to fulfill a number of goals listed in the constitution, particularly ensuring that all executive authorities conform to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and formulating legislations to improve the state of freedoms.

Dr.Nazira Sarkis, the Minister of State of Environment Affairs discussed with Nasri Al-Khoury, [the man is alive and is still] the Secretary General of the Syrian-Lebanese Supreme Council the means of activating the environmental cooperation between the two countries.
This meeting comes in the context of the continuous coordination between the two sister countries to promote cooperation and brotherhood in order to open new horizons for cooperation between them and examine the current situation of the common environmental projects, Dr. Sarkis said (Arabic)"
